The host: My name is Adam, educated in Photography to degree level, I have over 15 years experience shooting professional assignments for both corporate and personal clients. Via the work on my personal website I’m known as a photography educator and story teller. Born in the UK, I’ve been living in and photographing Porto (Portugal) for 4 years.
The experience:You’ve visited the city. You’ve taken pictures of the famous landmarks. Perhaps now you’d like to capture the vibe of the streets, to be taken to the spots where timeless images can be taken?
Pictures that don’t speak of your visit to Porto in terms of postcard photos, but instead speak of the feeling and the fabric of the city? Perhaps you’d like to stand in the exact places that Magnum founder and legendary photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson selected to compose his own shots during his tour of the city?
This is not a photo tour where you’ll hear the history of wine making and the story of the architecture.
This is not a photo tour promising to take you to the areas that no one visits (I’ve been to those places; there’s nothing there, that’s why no one visits!)
This is a photo tour where you can experience authentic Porto locations, where you can create timeless images that speak of the aesthetics of European life with an urban/street documentary style.
As your guide not only will I be taking you to the locations, I’ll be providing you with any support you require in regards to composing, framing and exposing the photograph. I’ll be sharing tips/tricks and advice on capturing urban and street style photography, along with how to work a scene.
