The experience : Imagine an immense city lying in ruins in the middle of dense tropical jungle, forgotten by time, shrouded in mystery and lush vegetation.
You will discover abandoned temples, monuments and standing stones engraved with hyroglyphic script, for a long time only seen by the eyes of wild monkeys, toucans and jaguars. This is Cobá - long ago the center of a mighty kingdom that connected all of north-eastern Yucatan to the rest of the Mayan world.
An inspiring journey into the past, where you will discover some of the secrets of a lost civilsation, in a wonderfully natural & exotic jungle environment.
You will ride our bikes through 4km of trails connecting different areas of the old city to eachother, stopping to admire the impressive architecture of temples, ball courts and ritual platforms, as well as an opportunity to climb one of the largest ancienct structures in Mexico - a 120 ft Mayan pyramid. Led by expert guides, Coba provides a great opportunity for all ages to have a lots of fun while learning about a fascinating culture & the tropical forest of Yucatan.
After the bike tour we continue with a visit to a nearby cenote, a deep underground pool of crystal clear waters, wonderfully refreshing after the morning's excercise.
Follwed by a relaxing lunch before heading back to your hotel.
